Frank Servello is a Melbourne-based photographer with a passion for creating authentic, considered images of people, places, food and the moments that connect them.
His approach to photography is relaxed and observational. He is particularly drawn to natural expressions, interesting light, strong composition and the small details that can often tell the biggest story. Whether he’s photographing a portrait, an event, a beautifully presented dish or life unfolding on the street, he looks for images that feel genuine rather than overly staged.
His background working closely with people has given him the ability to communicate easily, put people at ease and create a comfortable environment in front of the camera. This is particularly important in his portrait and event photography, where genuine expressions and spontaneous moments are often the most memorable.
His professional photography studies include a Certificate IV in Photography from The Photography Institute, a Certificate in Perfect Portraiture, and a Certificate in Food Photography. These studies have strengthened his technical knowledge while allowing him to further develop his own photographic style.
His work spans portraiture, food, weddings and events, and documentary photography, with an increasing interest in visual storytelling and black-and-white imagery.
Above all, Frank believes strong photography doesn't need to be complicated. It should make you stop, look and feel something.
